3. Booking and Scheduling

  • Changes to the Schedule: If you need to change or cancel your move, we require at least 24 hours’ notice before your scheduled move. Cancellations or reschedules made less than 24 hours before the scheduled move may incur a cancellation fee.

  • Deposit: A deposit may be required to confirm the booking, which will be credited toward your final bill. The deposit amount will be specified when you book our services.

4. Customer Obligations

  • Accurate Information: You must provide accurate and complete details about the items to be moved, including the volume, weight, and any special handling requirements. Misrepresentation of items to be moved may result in additional charges.

  • Accessibility: Ensure that the pickup and drop-off locations are accessible to our moving crew. If access is restricted (e.g., narrow hallways, no elevator, or steep stairs), additional charges may apply.

  • Packing: You are responsible for ensuring that all items are securely packed and ready for transport. Interlachen Movers can provide packing services for an additional fee, or we can assist you with preparing for the move.

  • Prohibited Items: We cannot transport hazardous materials, including flammable, toxic, or dangerous substances. Please ensure that you inform us of any prohibited items in advance.

5. Pricing and Payment

  • Estimates: We offer both flat-rate and hourly pricing, depending on the nature of the move. A detailed estimate will be provided before the move, and the final price will be determined based on the actual time, distance, and services rendered.

  • Final Invoice: After your move, an invoice will be sent, which reflects the total amount due. Payment must be made upon completion of the move, either by cash, credit card, or other accepted payment methods.

  • Late Payment: If payment is not received within the specified time, a late fee may be applied to the outstanding balance.

6. Liability and Insurance

  • Liability for Damaged Items: Interlachen Movers takes great care in handling your belongings. However, we are not responsible for damage to items that are not properly packed or are vulnerable to damage due to their nature (e.g., fragile items without proper packing).

  • Insurance: We provide basic liability coverage for your items during the move, but this coverage is limited. For additional protection, we recommend purchasing full value protection or additional insurance.

  • Claims: If any damage occurs during the move, you must notify Interlachen Movers within 72 hours to file a claim. We will work with you to resolve any issues, but failure to report damages promptly may affect our ability to process the claim.

7. Delays

While we strive to complete moves as efficiently as possible, we are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control, including but not limited to adverse weather, traffic conditions, accidents, or unforeseen issues with the moving equipment.

8. Indemnity

By using our services, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Interlachen Movers, its employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of our services or your breach of these Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Florida. Any disputes or claims arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts in Putnam County, Florida.
